Quilling Christmas Snowflake Card (5 of 5)
I was curious how a light blue paper strip may look but it reminds me of dampened, slushy snow. Anyway, the shorter arms and tighter connections mid-span make this version easier to manage. Hope you've enjoyed the snowstorm of quilled snowflake cards.

Quilling Christmas Snowflake Card (4 of 5)
This version is more structured, but I'm struggling to keep the arms pointing straight. After using 1/4" strips, I tried to go back to 1/8" width and it felt incredibly flimsy. Funny - I never imagined that!
What is your preferred width for quilling snowflakes?

Quilling Christmas Snowflake Card (3 of 5)
Definitely the frilliest of snowflakes I've made so far. I found it was too wiggly because it didn't have enough connections mid-span.

Quilling Christmas Snowflake Card (2 of 5)
This is another example of how I try to deflect my varying tension (thanks to all who tell me it's not that off). I guess I still see the end result as floral in nature, but perhaps I can try to imagine it's just flurries!

Quilling Christmas Snowflake Card (1 of 5)
For those who know my previous blog, Crafting Creatures, you may be wondering why I haven't been quilling for some time. I have a good reason for that but am only allowed to say it in the New Year, so I hope you'll follow my new blog, Paper Zen to hear the exciting news.
Until then, here is a quilled snowflake greeting card for this year's Christmas. In truth, I don't find my quilling tension to be very even, so I actually prefer more loose designs that allow for that variation. I hope you'll enjoy the next ones to come along.
